Tom holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Port Harcourt, an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Lagos, and an MBA from the University of South Wales, United Kingdom. He began his career at UBA PLC, where he advanced to the position of money market instruments dealer. Subsequently, he joined Standard Trusts Bank PLC, overseeing the management of the bank's assets and liabilities while also serving as an interbank dealer.

In 2004, Tom transitioned to NAL Bank PLC as the chief dealer for Money & Tom holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Port Harcourt, an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Lagos, and an MBA from the University of South Wales, United Kingdom. He began his career at UBA PLC, where he advanced to the position of money market instruments dealer. Subsequently, he joined Standard Trusts Bank PLC, overseeing the management of the bank’s assets and liabilities while also serving as an interbank dealer. In 2004, Tom transitioned to NAL Bank PLC as the chief dealer for Money & Foreign Exchange Markets within the Treasury & Financial Institution Group.

He managed a trading portfolio exceeding N15 billion, primarily focusing on Government Securities. In August 2007, he was recruited by Bank PHB PLC to lead Foreign Currency and Commodity Trading, consistently achieving an average daily trading volume of $1.5 billion. Tom has enriched his professional knowledge through various courses in Interest Rates, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income (Bond), Advanced Swaps (Euromoney Training EMEA in Paris, France), Enterprise Risk Management, ACI Dealing Certificate, FDHL Gilt Games (Bonds Training), and Bond Market Dynamics and Trading Strategies. He has participated in training programs conducted by international institutions, including UBS Investment Bank (Switzerland), ICAP (Johannesburg, South Africa), EUROMONEY (London), and Bond Exchange of South Africa. Additionally, he holds certification as a Pension Inspiration Fund Administrator.
